North Tyneside

North Tyneside district includes the Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, Tynemouth, Longbenton and Monkseaton areas. A large proportion of this area has a coastal border. Tynemouth and North Shields stand at the mouth of the River Tyne and further inland Wallsend is home to shipyards and offshore construction sites.
