Expertise in the exploitation and commercialisation of new technologies is a primary focus for energy companies and organisations in North East England, throughout the innovation chain from idea inception through to practical realisation. 

   

Commercialisation experience encompasses both technology push and market pull, and there is embedded mechanisms and assets which exist in the region to drive this process.  The investment in the academic research base, the unmatched capability at NaREC and CPI, their industrial partnerships and proven innovation and IP models demonstrate the strong offering.

  

Further capacity in translational research and in demonstration projects is being enabled through The Regional Economic Strategy and Science City.
